Random Quote of the Week

Thank you whoever made this and Facebook for letting me see this!!

To all the single ladies in such a hurry to get married, here's a quick piece of Bibical advice:

Ruth patiently waited for her mate Boaz. While waiting on YOUR Boaz, don't settle for ANY of his relatives: Brokeaz, Poaz, Lyinaz, Cheatinaz, Dumbaz, Cheapaz, Lockedupaz, Goodfornothinaz, Lazyaz or Marriedaz, and especially his third cousin Beatinyoaz. Please, wait for your Boaz and make sure he respects Yoaz.

I am so glad I found my Boaz!!

Ten on Tuesday

Hello All... or none...or one since I only had 1 comment... lame... :)
I have had an eventful week this week... so I have a lot of stories!!

1-I vowed that I would not cry anymore over my near miss driving the ambulance. So, I haven't cried about that since last Wednesday.
2-I finished my Phlebotomy class, and now I am certified and I can get a better job... however, I promised work that I wouldn't quit during the holidays, so I am still there for another month or two.

3-Friday was our first day poking people with needles, and I was a little hesitant so a good friend of my dads family came over with a bunch of supplies and she let me poke her, and then I poked Koral as well. Here are some pictures. Don't look if you are extremely squimesh to needles.

Then Mason decided that he wanted to try...
4-Monday was friends and family night, so we had to find some friends and/or family who would volunteer, Mason and his friend Ethan came, Yellie came but refused to be poked. Mason and Ethan had a competition to see who could get the most blood tubes, and who could get the most hematomas (bruises). I think Mason got like 14 blood tubes (he kept them) and then like 16 pokes.
5-Saturday Koral, Tava, Maridan, and I had the opportunity to go to a Self Defense class like none other. It was quite the experience. I highly suggest every woman takes it. It will make you cry, and it will be one of the scariest things ever but it is well worth it.
6-The way he teaches is physically. He will physically put you in a choke hold and you have to stab (with a rubber knife) your way out of it. Before, he gives you a knife though, he shows how easy it is for you to be in a situation that you can't get out of.
6a-To prove this point he had me go first, I had to stand with my back towards him while he talked, then next thing I know he has me in a rear naked choke hold saying in my ear "B****, I am going to kill you and leave you naked in the desert!" Then I woke about about 15-30 seconds later on the ground. Where he then helps me stand up and says "but instead of being helped up, you wake up with duct tape around your eyes and mouth, while this guy is taking advantage of you."
6b-Pretty brutal huh? Yeah, I cried. He didn't do that to Tava, Koral, or Maridan, but he did put them in front of him and started to put them in a choke hold but he let go before they passed out.
6c-After that part he gave us a rubber knife where we learned how to use one and handle one, the he began to choke us again, however, this time we "stabbed" him in the leg/groin area, and he stopped because if that was a real knife the pain would be too much and the guy would drop to the ground where we would then run and call police.
6d-That was pretty much the basics of the first 2 hours, we are going back to do the second 2 hours, sometime soon. I highly, highly, suggest that everyone woman you know takes this class. It is well worth the money. http://akt-inc.com/
7-Sunday we celebrated Yellie's birthday at my Mom's where we had make your own pizzas, and cheesecake. Afterwards, I watched John and Yellie play Hide and Seek, that was pretty much really amusing :)
8-On the radio, some stations are playing Christmas Songs, I love Christmas songs!!! Everyone thinks I am horrible because I am listening to them so early... but I can't help it hahaha
That is all I have for this week!! Have a good one!!

Sounds like you have been busy. So awesome that you are a certified phlebotomist.

I just want to point out the theme of this week's 10: poking. Poking with needles, poking with knives.. JaNae just likes poking. Or blood. Or pain. I'm not really sure.
